There is no contest here. Why the hell people even take a single glance at Comcast is beyond me. They trash-talk DSL in their commercials because their own service isn't good enough to speak for itself. They bullshit you with their "first year" prices and give you absolutely no information as to what the price is after that. It's a surprise, folks! On top of that, they give you information about being "faster than DSL", FOR DOWNLOAD SPEEDS. It gives you nothing on how much your upload is going to be. I bet you that they only give you 256k at most, which is horridly pale compared to what Verizon gives you.
Verizon cuts the bullshit and tells you exactly what you get. There are two packages. The 20 dollar package gives you 786k/128k, and the 30 dollar package gives you 3m/786k. Now, why you would need more than 3m download speed is beyond me, which pretty much kills Comcast's campaign right there. Not only is the upload speed most likely more than Comcast would dream of giving anyone, but I guarantee that the price is cheaper! This isn't some kind of "only for the first year then we jack the prices on you" shit. These are their rates, period. The only downside with DSL is that you have to get locked into a one year contract, but even if you have to cut the contract short and pay the fee, it's probably STILL cheaper than Comcast and their "target the n00bs" consumer policies!
Fuck Comcast. Their marketing is so sleazy that just mentioning their name five times makes me want to puke.... Oh shit, BRB!!!
